Many thanks to all involved including the professionals at www.lcs-transport.com who were meticulous in there “lorry Mounted Crane” delivery service.
The Generator Sales and Servicing Company use a network of trusted Heavy Haulage Companies in the UK. All service partners are fully registered with the appropriate industry and comply with all the latest regulations.
This week saw the delivery of our TJ275DW5 Doosan powered canopied generator. Weighing in at 2800 Kilograms and with a length of 4 metres the lift via LCS Transport’s rigid HIAB was carried out perfectly.
As a piece of trivia, the abbreviation HIAB derives from Hydrauliska Industri AB, a company founded in Hudiksvall, Sweden 1944 by Eric Sundin, a ski manufacturer who saw a way to utilize a truck’s engine to power loader cranes through the use of hydraulics.
The generator had previously undergone a thorough PDI (Pre delivery Inspection) and Test at the factory. However, after delivery it’s always advisable to make a number of critical checks. During transport some fluid levels can settle and need topping up. Therefore we checked oil and coolant levels were correct. We witnessed the customer filling the machine with diesel and connected the battery terminals. Identification of the control panel isolator was shown and turned on. Finally the hand primer for the fuel supply was pumped to ensure there was no air locks in the fuel supply system.
At all times both the customer’s management and key operating personnel were present to witness the safe operating of their new purchase. All documentation was handed over with all questions answered.
